Accepted Students
Congratulations, and welcome to the Peru State College Family! Now that you have been accepted, it is time to get enrolled and prepared for classes.
Your offer of admissions is valid only for the term for which you applied. If you would like to enroll for a different term, you may need to submit a new application for admission.
Graduate Students: Please refer to information provided on our graduate studies website .
1. Review Your myPSC Account
We keep an active to-do list for you in your myPSC account . If you have not logged into your account yet, please do so and review your To-Do list. This list will include information from Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Records, Housing, and our Business Office.
2. Complete Your Admissions File
- Submit Final official transcripts to us when they are available.
Note: Hand-carried/student-submitted transcripts will not be accepted. Transcripts must be sent directly from each academic institution via their official transcript service to Peru State College Admissions. - Health History Requirements

- Submit a copy of your health care provider immunization records that show proof of two MMR
3. Apply for On-Campus Housing
Students interested in on-campus housing will be need to submit a housing application. The housing application is available on February 1.
A $50 Room Reservation Fee is required to complete your housing application and reserve your room.
4. Apply for Financial Aid
Apply for Federal Financial Aid by completing the FAFSA . The FAFSA application opens October 1. The priority deadline is April 1 for consideration for all sources of funds. Check your myPSC account and your email frequently for ongoing important messages regarding your financial aid award status from Peru State College. Financial aid applicants are typically notified of their awards beginning in April.
5. Orientation or Advisement
- Freshmen: Register for an orientation event, which is required for all new incoming freshmen. Your faculty advisor will help you sign up for classes. You’ll also meet fellow incoming freshmen and get a chance to become more familiar with campus. Parents and guardians are strongly recommended to attend with their new student. Fall orientation signup begins February 1 for sessions held in May through August. Space is limited and sessions fill up quickly. Students are recommended to attend Orientation as early as possible to get the best selection of classes and times. Learn More Now!
- Transfer Students: You will need to log into your myPSC account and complete the academic advisement request form. This will kick start the enrollment process for you. We will work closely with you to set you up with a phone or in-person advisement session for course enrollment.
- International Students: Please work with your International admissions counselor regarding registration for classes.

Competitive scholarships are subject to availability and are tuition waiver scholarships unless noted otherwise. Competitive scholarships cannot be combined and are available to freshmen who enroll for the fall semester immediately completing high school. We know that high school GPA is a strong predictor of student success at Peru State College. Students that qualify are guaranteed a renewable tuition award in their admissions letter, by completing an application for admission and submission of an official high school transcript. The priority deadline for these awards is March 1.

Special Peru State College Freshman Scholarships
Athletic Scholarships Award Amount: Coach's Discretion Description: Peru State College athletic teams offer scholarships in the form of tuition and room waivers to program participants for each of the eight athletic teams as well as cheerleading. Interested student athletes should contact the head coach for the sport of interest at 402-872-2350 or athletics@peru.edu. Art Scholarships Award Amount: Varies Description: Scholarships in the form of tuition waivers are available for students who major in art. Demonstrated ability and department needs determine award recipients and amounts. A portfolio is required. For additional information, view the program details.

Advantages of Dual Enrollment
There are several advantages to participating in the Dual Enrollment Program offered through Peru State College, such as:
- Earning credit that meets both high school and college requirements is an efficient outcome for the considerable amount of effort you invest.
- Courses will transfer to most colleges and universities and will count toward a general studies requirement or elective requirement which will save the student time. Students should check with their intended college to determine transferability prior to enrollment in courses. Most institutions will only accept transfer credit for students earning a “C” or higher in the course. *Students may request a transcript online upon completion of the course through the Student Records Office.
- Students will pay less than a third of the cost of a normal college course through the Dual Enrollment Program creating a money savings.
A student must be affiliated with a school or school district located in the state of Nebraska in order to take part in the Peru State Dual Enrollment Program. A list of participating schools may be found here.
Why Take Dual Enrollment Courses with Peru State?
Peru State Dual Enrollment students receive several benefits, including:
- Access to the Peru State College Library and its resources.
- Canvas Tech Support available via email or phone, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT daily.

Student Application Process
Students are required to complete the online Dual Enrollment Application and complete the Dual-Credit Enrollment Form. Counselors are required to complete the Counselor approval process.
New Dual Enrollment Application Process
Traditional Dual Enrollment
At participating high schools, students enroll in courses for Dual Credit taught by their high school instructor, whose qualifications are reviewed by Peru State College, within the high school classroom. Students receive credit for the coursework from both their high school and Peru State College.
Online Dual Enrollment
Students enroll in an online course through Peru State College that is taught by a Peru State instructor, while having a high school mentor who will monitor students' progress and provide assistance and guidance when needed. Online courses utilize Canvas as the education platform. Students receive credit for the coursework from both their high school and Peru State College.
Student Qualifications
Students must meet the following criteria to participate in the Dual Enrollment Program at Peru State College:
- Be juniors or seniors;
- Be chosen carefully and recommended by the high school academic staff;
- Meet the prerequisites of the courses;
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 'B' or its equivalent or better; or rank in the top half of their high school class; or earn an ACT composite score of at least twenty (20) or an equivalent score on another valid assessment.

Important Things to Know
- Personal Enrichment students are non-degree seeking students
- Non-Degree students must reapply each semester
- Non-Degree students are not eligible for financial aid
- Non-Degree students wishing to enroll in a class with pre-requisites must contact the department offering the class
- Non-Degree students wishing to change to a degree-seeking program must re-apply for admission to a degree program and meet all admission requirements and deadlines
- Non-Degree students are not assigned an academic adviser

- After your application has been processed, you will receive a letter and an email outlining the enrollment process. Personal Enrichment students are not assigned an advisor and are able to enroll themselves through myPSC.

Visits scheduled 1-2 weeks in advance are preferred to ensure academic and athletic appointment availability. While scheduling your appointment, it is important to remember dates and times that campus will be closed. These dates are listed on the academic calendar.
Parking & Lodging information:
Buses will be directed to park in the Centennial Complex lot after drop off. If you are traveling in a car or van, parking spots may be reserved for you. Contact the Office of Admissions prior to your arrival to campus at 402-872-2221.
